About

Axson Office is an architectural visualisation and visual strategy studio based in Edinburgh, working across the UK and internationally.

The studio collaborates with architects, designers, developers and planners to create imagery that supports projects at key stages — from design development and competition to planning and marketing.

Rather than pursuing generic computer-generated output, each image is composed through the careful layering of light, colour and texture, resulting in work that feels measured, painterly and specific to each project.

Services

We work across domestic, housing, workplace, hospitality and civic sectors, creating imagery for projects ranging from private homes and interiors to larger urban and masterplan developments.

Our services span planning, competition, marketing and fundraising imagery, alongside design development and wider visual strategy. Each image is shaped in response to the architecture, audience and intent of the project.

Alexander Mackison

Axson Office is led by Alexander Mackison. He studied architecture at the Glasgow School of Art and the Oslo School of Architecture, graduating with a BArch and DipArch.

This architectural background informs a individual approach to image-making. Each project is led and delivered directly by Alexander, ensuring a consistent, hands-on process shaped by careful judgement and a clear understanding of how architecture should be communicated.
